Jews Banned to Settle in Serbia

Ilija Garašanin, the Minister of the Interior communicated to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the ban for settlement of the Jews, after he had received information that over thirty poor families headed from Sarajevo towards Serbia. In addition, the Ministry was informed that a number of Jews settled in Serbia after being deported from Vlaška.

Josif Šlezinger Got His Real Property From Miloš Obrenović

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade drafted the requestion addressed to the Kragujevac Court regarding the property of Josif Šlezinger. The Administration explained that Šlezinger didn‘t have a deed for the house and a piece of land since the Prince Miloš Obrenović had given them to him as a gift, highlighting that the word of the Prince used to have a strenght of both "a deed and a document".

The oath was requested in the lawsuit Juda Aron had filed against Rista Marković over debt, which the accused wouldn‘t acknowledge.

Jewish Merchants Filed a Complaint Against Banning to Work on Sundays

The Ministry of the Interior recommended the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to discharge the complaint Manahaim Hasan and Haim Koen, the Jewish merchants, had filed regarding the ban to work on Sundays and holidays, and to investigate their statements that some rich merchants didn‘t work on Sundays and holidays, but they traded "behind the curtain".

The Smederevo District Headquarters informed the Administration of the Town of Belgrade that Jakov Buli, who had been in Smederevo for business purposes, missed to take his passport from the Headquarters when departed to Belgrade.
