Complaint for the Illicit Trade on the Kalenić Market Place

A group of merchants from the Kalenić Market complained to the Association of Merchants of Manufacture, Textile and Fashion Products that petty dealers were selling their merchandise without paying the rent. The Belgrade Town Court requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to deliver a court decision to the representatives of the Jewish Community associated with a lawsuit Marjama, a widow of Josif Maer Sason, had filed against the Community over her allowances. The Administration informed the Court that it failed to deliver a court decision because the Community didn‘t exist, only the tutors of the Synagogue, Samuel Koen, Moreno Gabaj, Haim Konfino, Simaja Albahari and Jahiel Ruso.
