Company Farhi A.D. Changed the Line of Business

The Department of the Commerce and Procurement of the Executive People‘s Committee of the City of Belgrade issued a decision on the change of the line of business of the Farhi A.D. Company, from the business with cosmetics and alcohol, into the wholesale business with iron products, located in the No.3 Nikole Spasića Street.

The Association of Merchants of Manufactured, Textile and Fashion Products returned to the Administration of the City of Belgrade permissions granted to the companies that were closed afterwards. The companies in question were the Jewish companies owned by Bačev Danon, Dona Danon, Franko Elijas, Josif Montija, Aleksandar Vilić and Ivan Stefanić.

Collection of Contributions From the Members of the Jewish Community

Samuel Koen, Haim Konfino and Jahiel B. Ruso dispatched a communication to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade that a minister of finances approved their request to collect contributions from the members of the Jewish Community to cover the expenses of the Synagogue maintenance, salaries of the rabbis and their widows. They asked the Administration to collect the same contribution from the Belgrade Jews who were living in Zemun. The documentation included the list of Jews who did not pay the contribution.

Court Decision Delivery To the Jewish Community

The Belgrade Town Court requested the Administration of the Town of Belgrade to deliver a court decision to the representatives of the Jewish Community associated with a lawsuit Marjama, a widow of Josif Maer Sason, had filed against the Community over her allowances. The Administration informed the Court that it failed to deliver a court decision because the Community didn‘t exist, only the tutors of the Synagogue, Samuel Koen, Moreno Gabaj, Haim Konfino, Simaja Albahari and Jahiel Ruso.

Citizens Punished for Playing Cards for Money

The police investigation regarding the accusations against Avram Jakovljević, Samojlo Levi, Haim Konfino, Isak Haim Davičo and David Kalman Levi who were playing cards for money in the inn owned by Moreno Gabaj. The Administration of the Town of Belgrade sentenced them to three days of prison.
