Bohora Baruh Requested a Copy of the Bill of Exchange From Isak Avram

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade communicated to the Dorćol Precinct regarding the request of Bohora, the wife of Ižua Baruh, a messenger, to get a copy of the bill of exchange which guaranteed that Isak and Rakila Avram owed 36 groshes to her mother Zumbula Pijade. The original bill was destroyed in the fire which broke in the house of Zumbula in Požarevac.

Rafael Salomon requested the Zemun Magistrate to return him 1000 forints he had deposited for the house he wanted to buy, because the Magistrate didn‘t grant him permission to buy it due to the Christians‘ protests.

Buying the House in the Christian Quarter

The representatives of the christian community requested the Zemun Magistrate to change the decision brought on the 5th February 1771, when the Jew Rafael Salomon was granted permission to buy a house in the main street, where Christians lived, under the condition he had sold his old house in the Jewish quarter. In case the General command wouldn‘t alter the decision, they requested to be allowed to appeal to the Emperor. The Zemun Magistrate ordered Rafael Salamon not to sell is old house until the purchase was finally verified.

The Jewish Religius School Community issued a certificate that Rafailo Atijas was born in Belgrade in 1866, from a father Moša and a mother Buena. The certificate was signed by a rabbi of the old Synagogue Jakov Isak Adanja, a guardian of the old Synagogue Jakov Medina, a rabbi Dr S. Bernfeld and a president of the Community Jakov Alkalaj.

Buying Off the Parcel From the Brothers Davičo For Street Regulation

The brothers Rafailo, Samuil and Moša Davičo gave their statements to the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the offer for buying off their parcel for the regulation of the street in the Glavna Čaršija down town.The brothers said that they would consult their fourth brother Isak and would respond in handwriting to the Administration. povodom ponude Uprave varoši Beograda za otkup njihovog placa radi regulacije ulice u Glavnoj čaršiji. Imenovani su izjavili da će u dogovoru sa svojim četvrtim bratom Isakom podneti Upravi pismeni odgovor po ovom pitanju.

After the complaint filed by the carpenter Rista Solar, who was a neighbor of the house Rafael Salamon bought, the Zemun Magistrate decided to forbid Salamon to make changes to the house which were required for the opening of a store, since he still hadn‘t obtained the final court‘s decision.
