Merchants Requested to Be Allowed to Work on Sundays during the Fair

A group of merchants sought permission from the Association of Merchants of Manufactured, Textile and Fashion Products to work on Sundays, 12th and 19th September 1937. They sought permission because many foreigners were expected to come to Belgrade, due to the opening of the First Belgrade International Fair. The request was signed by Šaul Konfino, Aron H. Gabaj, Jakov Mandilović and others.

Merchants Warned for Illicit Commerce

The Association of Merchants of Manufactured, Textile and Fashion Products warned several companies against selling the haberdashery merchandise to individuals that didn‘t have a work permit. The companies which received the warning were owned by Rista Vasiljević, Josif Baruh, Moša Bejosif, Isak Levi and Biti Mandil.

The Association of Merchants of Manufactured Products informed the Chambers of Commerce on the election of members of The Management and Supervising Board of the Department of Wholesalers and the Trust Department. Among the elected members were Ruben Rubenović, Solomon A. Koen, Moša Amar, Stevan I. Koen, Maks Najman, Haim A. Koen.

The Department for Stores of the Administration of the City of Belgrade issued a permission to Moša Pardo to open the textile store in the No.6 Cara Uroša Street. In 1942, the appointed manager of the store reported to the Administration of the City of Belgrade that the store was closed down.
