Avram Eskenazi Settled His Debt to Creditors

The Belgrade Town Court informed the Administration of the Town of Belgrade that Avram Eskinazi had not been able to pay his debts to his creditors. Therefore, the Administration was ordered to inventory and seize his property. Eskenezi restored his property after he settled his debt to creditors.

Arrival of a New Jewish Hakham from Jerusalem to Belgrade

The Administration of the Town of Belgrade informed the border Quarantine in Aleksinac to let Nisim Ezra Mandil and his wife Simha, from Jerusalem, pass through to Serbia. Nisim Ezra Mandil would be a new Jewish Hakham. Nine days later, the Quarantine responded that Nisim Ezra Mandil and his wife departed to Belgrade.

Avram Eskinazi and Samuilo Alkalaj Had Their Shop Closed

Correspondence of the Belgrade Town Court, the Administration of the Town of Belgrade and the Ministrty of Foreign Affairs regarding the closing of a store Avram Eskinazi, a Turkish subject and Samuilo Alkalaj, a Serbian subject, ran together, due to their debts. Merchandise was inventoried and confiscated and after they had settled their debt they were allowed to reopen the store.

Avram Eskinazi Filed a Complaint Regarding the Arrest of Moša Eskinazi

The Ministry of the Interior informed the Administration of the Town of Belgrade regarding the complaint filed by Avram Eskinazi for the unjusty arrest of his son Mojzes-Moša, against whom the brothers Kumanudi and Tasa Baškalfić had filed a lawsuit over debt. The Administration replied to the Ministry that Mojzes was arrested for debt only, but for fraud also. The Belgrade Town Court rejected the case and set him free.
